Legitimacy of the Target SoftSoap deal

Okay, I've spent all evening researching this deal, trying to figure out if the SoftSoap manufacturer PDF (6 per page) is legit. After reading 50+ pages on SD, this is what I've found (copied from SD):

The SoftSoap manufacturer coupon that is a 6 per page PDF wasn't supposed to have been for public eyes. (Just because it's indexed by Google doesn't mean it was supposed to be for everyone to see - that PDF was actually from an FTP server that required a username and password to log into, which someone figured out. The link including the username/password then leaked out onto public forums, which caused the PDF file to get indexed by Google. Granted, it wasn't a very smart username/password combo...but it was still pretty clear that that FTP server was supposed to be for editors, professional printers, etc. - not the general public. It was how the magazine staff was sharing files around - not an actual "digital version" of the magazine meant for anyone to read.

The original thread on SD that linked to that $2 Q (along with many other Qs in the same magazine) was deleted due to this reason.

If even SD says a Q isn't legit, then I think it shouldn't be linked/discussed here.
